Bob Harvie Leads Brian Fitzpatrick 48 to 46 in New Poll
Bob Harvie leads Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick 48 percent to 46 in Pennsylvania's 1st District, according to a New York Times/Philadelphia Inquirer/Siena University poll of 400 likely voters taken Oct. 16 to 22. The two-point gap is inside the margin of error with nine days left, and it puts a seat the five-term Republican has held since 2017 within reach for Democrats. Harvie, a Bucks County commissioner, leads on every issue the survey tested, immigration and the cost of living included. Nearly half of district voters say Fitzpatrick is too supportive of President Trump, whose approval here is 35 percent. Fitzpatrick still leads on favorability, 43 to 38. Independents split 44 to 44.
