Bob Harvie’s and Brian Fitzpatrick’s Priorities
Letters to the EditorRecently Bob Harvie released his 12 point priority plan for when he gets elected to be our Congressman. Meanwhile, Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick released more photo-ops and his campaign released misleading TV ads, billboards, and signs that attacked Bob with outrageous misinformation. His campaign also continued to block (“sandwich”) Bob’s road signs so the People could not read Bob’s message about Brian’s seven votes for tariffs which raised our grocery prices. I guess Brian’s priority of making things more expensive for us is not something he wants the People to know.
Bob also challenged Brian to four town hall debates. Brian responded by refusing to attend, citing absurd unrealistic demands for FBI files. Bob is not under FBI Investigation, he merely testified as a witness, and no charges were ever brought. The Republicans tried to use this lie against Bob in 2023 and the Republicans had to apologize.
But remember this: Brian refused to debate Ashley Ehasz in 2022 and his last town hall with his constituents was August, 2017. My hunch is that soon Brian will say he won’t debate Bob unless the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus attend. Brian has a history of fearing to face his constituents in a town hall setting; Bob faces them every month as County Commissioner.
Here are Bob’s great Congressional priorities. Wouldn’t it be great for him to work on these in Congress and then return to us in a town hall setting and share his progress in accomplishing them? Vote for Bob Harvie. It’s time to ditch the tired old Fitz machine.
Bob Harvie’s New Fair Deal for Working Families: 12 Priorities
- Healthcare that puts patients over profits
- A Tax Cut for Our Middle Class
- Overturn Citizens United and Ban Corporate PAC Contributions:
- Roll Back Tariffs, Raise the Minimum Wage
- Ban Congressional Stock Trading
- Immediately Release the Epstein Files
- Enact a lifetime lobbying ban for former Members of Congress:
- Enact Congressional Age Limits – 80 years old
- Ban Partisan Gerrymandering:
- Ban AI Price Manipulation. Crack Down on Groceries and Goods Price Gouging:
- Reign in Data Center Over-development
- Invest in Clean Energy and 21st Century Infrastructure.
One more thing. There is a rumor that Brian responded with his own twelve priorities. He might be spending his time doing this if he is reelected:
- Avoid town halls and debates.
- Do 1,000 more photo-ops.
- Keep President Trump happy.
- Let’s have even more tariffs that you end up paying for!
- Let's raise gas prices even higher!
- Let's raise grocery prices even higher!
- Vote moderate when my vote isn’t needed by the GOP.
- Vote MAGA when my vote is needed by the GOP.
- Maybe have a few more expensive foreign “excursions?”
- Pretend to solve problems in my Problem Solving Team.
- Continue to hide the Epstein files in a deep cavern in France.
- Let’s make it even more difficult for women to vote and get healthcare!
Now these Brian priorities are just rumors. We can ask him at his next town hall or debate if they are for real. If not, we’ll ask the empty chair.
